Ames Planning Software Goes Live on Console at ISS Mission Control
(Mar 20, 2014)
In February 2014, the new software product named Plan Repository, in conjunction with an upgraded Score, was deployed on console in the International Space Station (ISS) Mission Control. Plan Repository, delivered by the Human-Computer Interaction group in December, is a software tool for ISS crew and ground schedules that complements Score, the primary planning tool for all real-time schedule changes. With the deployment of Plan Repository and the new features in Score, flight controllers now can use one suite of tools for a range of plans, particularly increment-long plans, weeklong plans, and real-time plans. Additionally, for the first time, flight controllers can access plans remotely and concurrently in real-time, and collaborate with planners from different centers and international partner locations. Score and Plan Repository are part of OPTIMiS, the suite of software tools that supports ISS planning. The delivery of Plan Repository represents the continued success of the Human-Computer Interaction Group, which has developed and deployed planning and scheduling tools for ISS flight controller positions since 2010.
