On July 18, 2018, the Human Systems Integration Division hosted two booths at the 4th Annual Mountain View Tech Showcase. The event consisted of over 40 exhibitors, including seven NASA research organizations, actively demonstrating cutting edge research and innovative products. Visitors to the Human Systems Integration Division booth were able to see a demonstration of a self-scheduling planning tool called Playbook, that allows astronauts and controllers to manipulate timelined mission activities. Another demonstration featured the Division’s work in the development of the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) system. Visitors were also able to ask questions about NASA’s research on safely enabling low-altitude, small Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operations (i.e., drones). Division researchers and staff were on hand to talk about the division's research and distribute outreach materials. More information on the division and it’s research is available at
