Dr. Jessica Nowinski is Division Chief of the Human Systems Integration Division at
NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA.
Dr. Jessica Nowinski came to NASA as a post-doctoral fellow in 1999, researching human memory performance. She became involved in project management with the Aviation Safety Program, including serving as the lead of the System-wide Safety and Assurance Technologies project. Dr. Nowinski helped to develop the System-wide Safety thrust for the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate Strategic Implementation plan during a three-year detail to NASA Headquarters. Upon returning to the Human Systems Integration Division, in 2017, she assumed the Integration and Training Branch Chief role. She also served as Deputy Division chief for several years before becoming the Division Chief. Dr. Nowinski received a Bachelor of Science degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from Stanford University.
