Dr. Irving Statler Receives President's Award from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Dr. Irving Statler received the President's Award from Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University on May 29, 2008 for his "Exemplary Dedication to
Aviation Safety." During Dr. Statler's many years at Ames, he served in numerous roles
including Director of the Army Aeromechanics Laboratory, NASA Division Chief
for Human Factors (Acting), and project lead for Aviation System Monitoring
and Modeling (ASMM). His numerous awards have included the NASA Outstanding
Leadership Medal, the Technology Turning Goals Into Reality (TGIR)
Administrator's Award, AIAA Medal for International Cooperation, NATO
Military Committee Chairman's Medal, Ministry of Defense of France La
M'daille de l'Aeronautique, US Army Exceptional Civilian Service Medal, and
AIAA Fellow.
