and arranging meetings, conferences, and appointments; arranges
necessary travel; and prepares background materials as needed.
Performs a variety of administrative support activities, including composing
correspondence on own initiative. (I have contacted potential collaborators to
create a relationship between my mentor's work and the space tourism industry)
Attended and represented Ames Research Center's division IH at the World Space
Congress 10/15/2002-10/20/2002.
Coordinates and performs data collection, reporting, documentation of projects
related to various studies.(i.e. sleep deprivation and G- tolerance).
Provides technical support for research projects. Major duties include preparation
and physiological testing of human subjects, as well as psychological inventories,
set-up and calibration of biomedical equipment, and assisting in processing/analysis
of experimental data.
With regards to data processing, duties include data entry, making graphs and
charts, and other skills related to many software programs (i.e.Excel, Word,
Access, etc.)
Supervises, monitors, and coordinates the activities of summer student workers
as needed.
Volunteers to be test subject when necessary.
Provides general support as deemed necessary to the functioning of the Psycho-physiology
Laboratory at Ames. |

I was working my PH.D in Physiology. I earned 64 quarter
hours. I left to come to Ames. Coursework included: Anatomy

and Muscle, Research Methods & Statistics, Digestive System, and Cardiovascular

Other Information
Upon completion of my first year in my Ph.D.
program, I participated in a field study at a medical clinic
in Christchurch,
New Zealand, under the direction of Dr. David Lovell-Smith. I
also assisted him during his presentation during the World Conference
of General Practioners. June 2000.
